    What this means in practice

    Domestic worker costs are permitted where there is a documented need: small children, an elderly dependant or a working consumer with no other support. The figure must reflect the legally enforceable minimum wage at the time of the assessment.

    Where it goes wrong

    Lifestyle-driven domestic costs without a documented need are routinely cut by credit providers under paragraph 7.2.1.
