    Completion & Exit

What is Form 17.W (Withdrawal form)?

Form 17.W is the official withdrawal form used to exit debt review before completion. However, withdrawal has strict conditions and is rarely advisable.

    You can only withdraw:

    • BEFORE Form 17.2 is issued (before being declared over-indebted), OR

    • By obtaining a court order declaring you not over-indebted

    Important consequences of withdrawal:

    • Fees paid are NOT refundable after the process starts

    • Your original credit agreements and interest rates are reinstated

    • Credit providers can resume legal action immediately

    • You lose all legal protection

    • Your credit record shows you were under debt review

If your circumstances improve, early settlement is usually a much better option than withdrawal. It clears your debts and gives you a proper clearance certificate.
