The cost depends on which removal method applies. NDRC discloses all costs in full in a written Prescribed Disclosure Statement before any work begins and before any fee becomes payable, as required by Section 126A(3) of the National Credit Act.
Clearance Certificate (Section 71): from R450 excl. VAT
Applies where all debts under debt review are settled, excluding a current home loan. NDRC's fee for facilitating the clearance certificate, updating the DHS, and notifying all credit bureaus starts at R450 excl. VAT.
Quick Rejection (Section 86(7)(a)): R350 excl. VAT
Applies where a debt review application was submitted but rejected at the assessment stage. NDRC handles the NCR submission and bureau notifications.
Court Application (Section 87 or 165): NDRC professional fees from R8,550 excl. VAT plus attorney and sheriff fees
The total cost includes NDRC's professional debt counselling fees for assessment, document collection, case management, NCR submissions, and bureau notifications, plus the admitted attorney's fees for legal drafting, court bundle preparation, and court attendance at Magistrates Court Tariff rates (GG 51056, November 2025), plus the Sheriff of the Court's fees for serving the application on respondents.
Total cost for a typical matter: R15,000 to R20,000 excl. VAT, depending on matter complexity, number of creditors, and court schedule.
All fees are billed per completed service stage. Nothing is collected before the corresponding stage is complete. This is required under Section 126A(3) of the NCA. NDRC does not take upfront payments.
