What is a court order in debt review?

A court order in debt review is a legally binding order issued by the Magistrate's Court that formalises your restructured payment plan.

    The court order:

    • Replaces your original credit agreements with new terms

    • Legally binds both you and your creditors

    • Provides ongoing protection as long as you pay as ordered

    • Can only be varied or rescinded by another court order

Once you have a court order, creditors cannot deviate from the agreed terms or take legal action while you are compliant.
