    The Process

What will happen if my credit providers are not happy with the revised payment plan?

If credit providers are not satisfied with the proposed payment plan, we have legal mechanisms to protect you:

    • We will request the court to make the debt review an order of the court

    • Should credit providers take action against you, any payment that was due to them each month may in some instances be used to defend this action

    • Working with our experienced debt counsellors, it is unlikely the credit providers will not accept your repayment plan

    • Courts generally support reasonable payment plans that show good faith

In our experience, most credit providers accept reasonable proposals because receiving regular payments is better than pursuing costly legal action.
