Do I need to go to court personally?

In most cases, you do NOT need to appear in court personally.

    • Your debt counsellor and appointed attorney handle all court appearances

    • You sign the necessary documents and affidavits in advance

    • Court applications are typically unopposed administrative matters

There are limited situations where your presence may be required:

    • If a creditor opposes the application and cross-examination is needed

    • If the court specifically requests your appearance

    • For certain complex matters requiring direct testimony

We prepare you fully if court attendance is ever required, which is rare in our experience.
