What is the relationship between an ombudsman in South Africa and an individual?
An ombudsman is an individual who is appointed by an organisation to act as an impartial and independent advocate for the rights of individuals. An ombudsman’s role is to investigate and resolve complaints about the organisation’s services, policies or procedures. An ombudsman in South Africa does not have the power to force an organisation to change its policies or practices, but can make recommendations to the organisation about how it could improve its procedures.

The ombudsman will then investigate the complaint and try to resolve it. The National Debt Review Center · March 4, 2024 at 4:38 pm
The situation you described sounds complex and it’s important to seek professional guidance to protect your rights and navigate this effectively. Here are some general steps you can consider, but it’s crucial to consult with a qualified property lawyer or legal professional familiar with South African body corporate regulations. Here are some additional resources that might be helpful:
The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS)– A government body that investigates disputes arising from the management of community schemes, including sectional title schemes.
The Department of Human Settlements – Provides information and resources on various housing-related matters, including community schemes.
Remember, this is just general information, and it’s essential to seek professional legal advice tailored to your specific situation for the best course of action.

I worked 17 years for Auto & Truck Tyres and suppose to retire in 2020 and the previous manager Gary Kuck asked to work on a 6 monthly contract of which they’ve renew every 6 months. There was a break in my service in 2016 for unfair dismissal and they paid out my money but they re-instate me because I won the case. The beginning of February 2024 they called a meeting and out of the blue Steven Bradford the director announce that I can now relax at home, because 29th February 2024 will be my last day .I left with only a month salary

We did a rental contract with KW Keller
We agreed to pay 10%commission for them to pay the municipality rates etc the promise was they will administer all the money. To date we now owe the municipality R26000 Rand as the rates were only paid once. The figures do not add up at all, no proof of payments can be given.
